If you know anything about me or have read any of my posts in the past, you know that Valentines is not my favorite holiday. So, when I get a call from my husband today saying, “I wish I could have brought a bunch of flowers to your office and candy and really made a big deal about today,” I laughed because I never want that on Valentine’s Day.
He knows that but he would still make a big deal if he could but it’s been a busy week so he couldn’t and I because I wouldn’t want that anyway it worked out.
Instead, he said, you go home early from work and I’ll pick up the kids, take them to their classes this afternoon.
Now, again, if you know me or have read any of my posts in the past you know that what I love more than anything is to have a little bit of quiet time reading a book or just spending some alone time with my thoughts.
Getting the chance to go home instead of having to take my kids to drum lessons and martial arts and then a second round of martial arts for the second child, I gladly count that as the best valentines gift ever!
